Knit-a-thon

Let’s all snuggle up in a cozy space, do a little crafting and help senior cats in Ontario!

We are excited to for a new fundraiser that is taking place this January, February and March! 2022 Join us for our Knit-a-Thon for senior cats! Not limited to knitting, you can also crochet, sew or craft! Participants will collect pledges from friends and families who wish to support them in their creative efforts! All funds raised go directly to veterinary bills for senior cats of our Super Senior Cat Sanctuary program who were at risk of euthanasia in Ontario. There is a prize for the most creative bed, most creative toy design, most $ funds raised and also prizes for the most beds made and most toys made! That’s 5 chances to win an awesome prize! The beds and toys will be used by the cats at the Sanctuary and for future fundraisers.

Ready to begin?

Sign up as a participant and then start making cat beds and cat toys! Collect donations and pledges from friends and families who wish to support you in your creative efforts! All funds raised go directly to veterinary bills for senior cats who were at risk of euthanasia in Ontario. 

What’s the difference between a donation and a pledge? Donations may be made and collected before the Knit-a-Thon. A pledge is a solemn binding promise to give a specified amount once a pre-determined goal is completed. Think about what goal makes sense for you. Is your goal to make 5, 20 or 100 items? Remember to let friends and family know what this means to you!

You’ve collected your pledges and made your beds/toys – now what?

As the Knit-a-thon comes to a close the last two weeks of March, coordinate drop off of your lovely beds and toys to the Sanctuary. The kitties will be thrilled to receive some of the items, and the rest will be used for future fundraisers! 

All participants will receive a list of drop off locations in March.

There is a prize for the most creative bed, most creative toy design, most $ funds raised and also prizes for the most beds made and most toys made! That’s 5 chances to win! Stay tuned for the announcement of prizes!
